Seriously Slacking

Hello 2012!! Wow it's so weird saying that. Time is passing so quickly! And I am definitely not posting nearly enough! So let me play catch up!


We had a wonderful Christmas. We got to go home to Benton and see most of our friends and family. It was a really good visit, just not long enough. Only 6 more months and we will be back for good! I can't wait! We didn't do much for New Years Eve. Just a quick date with the hubs to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie. It was sooo good! Sadly the next morning we woke up to Carson crying and he was burning up with fever. It was 104 and he had gotten sick all in his crib. It scared us so we took him to the ER. All they told us was to keep giving him Tylenol. Wow...thanks for the help! Well for the next few days he continued to have fever on and off. It would spike..then back down, over and over again. We decided to take him to a clinic where they would take x-rays and blood tests. They found out he didn't have pneumonia but he did have a elevated white blood count. Of course that meant infection of some type. He was given antibiotics and now after 4 straight days of having fever it is finally gone! My sweet baby is like a new person! He is eating better and has more energy! Its so wonderful. It was absolutely heart wrenching watching him lay there, obviously in pain and there was nothing I could do to help him. All I could do is cry and pray. As a parent, you just want to take their place. I would gladly be sick to keep Carson from feeling one ounce of pain. Thank goodness he is back to his old self! Now its time for this exhausted momma to get some rest! Goodnight!
